' Lone Palm / Sailboat / Dock on Moon Lit Lagoon '

 A later 'Harold'; most likely done in the 1970s on 'Masonite' with its Original frame: 12" x 20" - Overall Framed 15.5" x 23.5" 

This close-up shows a Sailboat and Old Dock... 'Prized' additions to ANY Highwaymen Painting!! Much of this 'painting' was done, not with a 'Brush', but with a *'Palette Knife'!  The more use of the 'Palette Knife', the more desirable the painting!  Also seen, H, NEWTON's signature 'scratched' into the paint... as was usually done!

*PALETTE KNIFE;  is a blunt tool used for mixing or applying paint / A Painting knife with a pointed tip, lowered or "cranked" like a trowel, suited for painting on canvas.
